Jump that gap, Freerunners take the challenge

jump-storm-origins

I like Freerunners. I have always found it interesting, probably because I wish I could do it. Claudiu Voicu has made available this this short film called Storm Origins (7 min) that shows three Freerunners in a race…..(to be lit on fire, it will make sense if you watch the film). The freerunners are Phil Doyle, Paul ‘Blue’ Joseph, and Mathieu Ledoux. The added bonus for me was Mathieu Ledoux slapping on a pair of in-line skates and taking on the urban jungle.

The style and production quality of this film does not disappointed. Its has a good soundtrack and was shot with Canon’s 5DII and 7D. If you like freerunning check the video after the break and leave some comments. Continue reading “Jump that gap, Freerunners take the challenge” »

Rollerman, half dork and half crazy man

Jean Yves Blondeau is Rollerman, and Rollerman is a crazy French guy with a custom outfit with wheels all over in order to coast downhill. He even has a wheel for each hand and a camera mounted to his back to catch all the action. In the video you see Rollerman in various situations, zooming down the Alps, in Korea, passing a motorbike, and my favorite, going down some bobsled or luge track.

I am torn between if this is cool or not. Straight downhill is OK, but it sure doesn’t look so stylish/cool when Rollerman needs to take a corner. At corners he needs to put down a hand and his foot. I guess I would want to try it, but I wouldn’t want to look dorky in the outfit. But bless the French and Jean Yves Blondeau for doing something different and original.

I never thought I would see extreme Pogo, but here it is

If you said Pogo Stick and cool video in the same sentence I would have been skeptical. But after watching this video I am pretty impressed with extreme Pogo Sticking (if that is what you call it). The video is pretty well done and some of the tricks are pretty cool. If you like Free Walking you would probably like this video as well. I am just wondering how some the Pogo Sticks we had when I was younger were not this bouncy.
