
Above is a screen grap of an interactive website showing the number of deaths for various Mexican cities. The map splits the deaths between drug war related vs total homicides by year. If you have been following recent events you would have guessed and been correct that the first prize goes to Juarez, for the most homicides (3778) and it take first place also for the most drug related homicides 2738 (72%) in 2010. Even though Tiajana has the 2nd largest amount of homicides only 38% (495) were drug related. The second and third place title for the most drug related homicides in 2010 goes to Culiacan-Navolato (751) and La Laguna (704).
